Federal Bank Limited

The Federal Bank Limited is a leading Private sector commercial bank in India headquartered at Aluva, Kerala. The bank was incorporated on April 23, 1931, as Travancore Federal Bank Limited, Nedumpuram. The bank name was changed to the Federal Bank Limited on December 2, 1949. The bank has 1252 branches and 1680 ATMs spread across the different corner of the state in India. The bank has chairman as K.M Chandrasekhar and MD & CEO as Shyam Srinivasan.The bank is considered as a leading traditional bank in India in implementing a modernized method of technology to benefit its operations and it was the first bank to computerize all of its branches.

The bank was licensed in 1949, under the Banking Regulation Act. In 1959, the bank became the scheduled commercial bank under the second schedule of RBI Act, 1934 on 20 July 1934. The bank has its presence in 25 states and 4 union territories. The bank is listed on NSE, BSE and London Stock exchange.
